Kia ora, welcome! This is Room G4's blog where we upload our work so that we can share our ideas, learning and progress with a wider audience. The purpose of this blog is to encourage parents and children to discuss and reflect on the learning that is occurring at school. There are also activities and games that the children can interact with that will enhance the learning that is taking place in the classroom. Feel free to post positive comments on this page and encourage others to do the same.
Hi Miss Slater
ReplyDeleteMy question is how many bankers are you going to pick not including you?
You can own your cubby and your desk. You can also buy to leave class early and buy treats and buying items from the class shop.

Hi Miss Slater
ReplyDeleteThe benefits of 'funny money' are that you learn banking skills and you can buy stuff that give you certain benefits in class time. It also is reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally fun to do.
Rohan
Teno pai Rohan, you have thought deeply about the purposes :)

Hi Jayda,
ReplyDeleteI will choose 5-8 bankers, anyone who wants to be a banker will have a chance to apply. The 'banker' is a special job and I will be looking for people who are honest, are good at maths, and can use their initiative to problem solve.
Yes Annaliese, you can buy many things with 'Funny Money' but why do you think I am using this system with G4? Do you think it is just for fun?
ReplyDeleteI really want to be a" funny money banker!"
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a great idea and I'm really interested in how it will work out in your class. What are you going to use as the money Miss Slater? And what is a cubby? It isn't something we're familiar with in Scotland.
ReplyDeleteWe only have 3 weeks left of school until we break up for our summer holiday. But we would love to keep in touch with you when we get back in August.
Please check out our new blog

The children will all design a 20, 50 and 100 dollar note. Then as a class we will vote on the three best notes we want to use to represent our class. A cubby is where we keep our shoes and bag (sort of like a cloak bay). Yes, we too would love to keep in touch!
ReplyDeleteI want to ve a banker, to!

Dear Miss Slater
ReplyDeleteWhat happens when you by the rights to your desk then you want to by a new one at the the auction dose the person who byes the desk have to pay the same amount of money to you?
When you buy your desk you pay the money to the bank and you own it for the year. The desk auction is slightly different. You are paying for the place you sit, this money goes straight to the bank (not the previous person who was in that spot). If you have bought your desk place (in the auction), and you own it too, that is the only payment you will need to make. Does that make sense?
DeleteThis is going to be fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope I get to be a funny money banker
