Over the last few weeks we have been writing and practicing our speeches on a person who has faced many challenges. It was very tricky as we had NO parent help. On Wednesday the 19th of September we read our speechs out to the class. There were two judges from the class and Miss Slater. They gave us a 1, 2 or a 3. 1=needs improvement, 2=good and 3= excellent. Miss Slater picked the first person, no one wanted to go first...........I was nervous. We heard about a variety of people. Here are some of the people that we did: Hellen Keller, Ann Sullivan, Sir Edmund Hillary, Amelia Earhart, Dan Carter, and Sir Graham Henry. Everyone loved sharing there speeches. Now Miss Slater needs to choose two people from our class to go through to the semi final!
Kia ora, welcome! This is Room G4's blog where we upload our work so that we can share our ideas, learning and progress with a wider audience. The purpose of this blog is to encourage parents and children to discuss and reflect on the learning that is occurring at school. There are also activities and games that the children can interact with that will enhance the learning that is taking place in the classroom. Feel free to post positive comments on this page and encourage others to do the same.
